From
an early age I knew I wanted to be involved in ceramics. I had always
enjoyed illustration and that was my intended career, but at college
I found my real love was with clay. After training at university I realised
that to become a competent thrower more training was defiantly required.
I applied to the Thomastown Pottery Skills course (Thomastown, County
Kilkenny, Ireland). This is where I really learnt my craft and a great
deal of humility. After Thomastown I returned to the UK where I set
up a small one-man studio and began producing a modest range of tableware.
